About
Since 1985, Upstream Ottawa has been a leader in frontline community mental health services in Ottawa.
What started as a grassroots response to insufficient mental health services in the area has developed over time into comprehensive, high-quality care for youth, adults, and families impacted by mental health and substance-use health challenges.
Our services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual, and we are committed to providing compassionate, non-judgmental support.

AMANI Mental Health and Substance Use Services for Black Youth
Formerly SAPACCY, AMANI provides a range of services for Black youth aged 12-29 and their families/caregivers. AMANI takes into consideration the unique challenges that Black youth, their families and caregivers face when they try to access care. Our AMANI staff are Registered Social Workers with lived experience.

Wellness Services
Programs that complement our clinical services to provide wrap-around support so that our clients may lead independent lives. This includes client transportation, social and recreational outings, monthly luncheons, support groups, back-to-school/work assistance, and financial support for essentials like bedding, clothing, and groceries. These critical services are unfunded and made possible by our generous donors.
